Hull

This was my visit to the York and Hull District but it was all spent in Hull. Saturday saw us at  preachers' breakfast (always good to meet other local preachers!) This was followed by a wonderful event in Hull City Hall - 'Methodists believe in Hull'. About 500 people crowded in to share worship and to see demonstrations from all that varied things Methodists are doing in this area, including Christians against Poverty, Foodbanks, Motorvation motor vehicle training, Nite Church, Orts women's support group and much more.

This picture is the day-long Messy Church who led our worship at lunch time.
On Saturday night we went out with the Hull Street Angels. I am full of admiration for the people who do this work, offering practical and caring support to any who need it.

A packed programme also included a delightful afternoon tea with the residents of Willersley House MHA.
